The Surrender Song

I carried burdens, day and night, until they stole my joy from sight. I held them close with weary hands, as though my strength held heaven’s plans.

I begged for answers, searched for peace, yet found no place where fears would cease. The tighter still I chose to cling, the less my soul could truly sing.

Then gently came my Father’s voice:
“My child, release. My heart’s your choice. The things too great for you to bear are safest in My faithful care.”

So one by one, with tear-filled eyes, I placed them where true mercy lies. Not cast away, nor left behind, but held by Love both strong and kind.

And what I feared would fade away found brighter hope in heaven’s day. For seeds surrendered, buried deep, are promises the Lord will keep.

Now if the night should linger long, I’ll answer darkness with this song: The hands that hung upon the tree, still hold tomorrow’s grace for me.

For flowers bloom where faith has grown, In soil the Father’s hands have known. And every heart that learns release Will find, in Him, a deeper peace.
