The Patriot

We see the devastation of the wicked.
Violence is the fruit of angry men.
We’re tossed upon a sea of unbelievers
Who try to kill the freedom we defend.

The wind cannot make the mountains bow down.
Our faith ablaze, not hiding in the night.
Though darkness whines and in the shadows gathers,
Holding fast to our flag
In truth and light.

No tyrant’s hand can steal our bright tomorrow,
Nor chains uproot what God and country sow.
The flame of freedom still burns more brightly,
For truth will reap what faith in God has grown.

Though kingdoms fade and banners fall,
Our hope in Christ conquers all.
By faith we stand,
By grace we band together—
Conquers all.
