I wanted answers, You gave me time,
I wanted reason, You gave me rhyme.
I wanted mountains moved that day—
But looking back,
It was better Your way.
I held so tightly to what I knew,
While You were making all things new.
I called it loss when things gave way—
But what You kept
Was better Your way.
I could not see beyond the bend,
Or understand where roads would end.
I only knew to kneel and pray—
To trust and know
It’s better Your way.
When I rested in saving myself,
I found my own strength had failed.
So trusting You now, embraced I stay,
At peace, surrendered—
It’s better Your way.
