The Quiet Place Where God Speaks
There is a place where noise cannot follow.
It is not found by searching harder, but by surrendering deeper.
I have learned that God does not compete with my voice.
He does not interrupt my thoughts or force His way in.
He waits—quiet, steady, unmoved—until I am willing to become still.
And stillness is not easy.
My mind runs.
My heart wrestles.
My will rises with its own desires, its own fears, its own need to understand.
But His voice is different.
It comes like a whisper carried on peace—
not demanding, not loud, but certain.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
To hear Him, I must release the need to control the moment.
I must loosen my grip on my own understanding
and allow His presence to settle over me like morning light.
There, in that quiet place, I begin to recognize Him again—
not distant, not silent, but near… and always speaking.
And I realize—
He was never absent.
I was just too full to hear Him.
