The Speck & The Savior Beneath the Starry Skies
A speck beneath a sky so wide,
Where silent stars like lanterns hide,
I lift my eyes, feel small and still,
Yet something draws my heart to fill.
Not lost within the endless blue,
But gently known, completely through,
For He who shaped the distant flame
Has softly called me by my name.
He stepped into this dust I wear,
Breathed life and met me right there,
Not far above, nor just to see—
But chose to come and dwell in me.
So let the heavens stretch and shine,
Their vastness does not dim what’s mine—
For though I’m small, this truth I savor,
This tiny speck is held by the only Savior.
